First class all the way is how many people describe the Nokia E62 handheld PDA smart phone. It is a distinction that is well-earned. If you have a need for superior access to your email, phone calling and calendars, especially when traveling, you cannot go wrong with the Nokia E62 PDA smart phone. In comparison to other PDA smart phones in its class (or close to it), the Nokia E62 was a little larger than one or two of the models but was hands down more compact and lighter than the popular Palms on the market. It’s less than ¾ inch thick and only five ounces. You will want to purchase a Nokia PDA E62 aluminum case to protect this compact smart phone.
The Nokia E62 has four bands which makes this a world class traveling phone. You can expect a full keyboard on the front of the device as well as super resolution for the display at 320 by 240 pixels. Clear viewing for your emails, documents and so much more can be had on this device. If you have a marathon phone session, your Nokia E56 PDA battery will last about five hours on a single charge. However, if you only use the smart phone intermittently and leave it on standby, the battery could last for almost two weeks! For connectivity, you have Bluetooth capabilities as well as a USB port for those desktop synchronizations. You will receive with your Nokia E62 about 90 MB memory which is quite a bit by PDA standards and will serve you in good stead even with the handy applications this device has. Plus, you can add up to 2 GB in your mini secure digital card expansion slot! You can listen to various music files like MP3 as well as watch video files with your multi-media software. In fact, you can choose some of your favorite MP3 files as ringtones. Part of the software package includes the normal email programs as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a host of other productivity applications. As for the phone calling portion of this smart phone PDA, you get voice dialing (yippee!), menu shortcuts activated via voice commands, a special key for recording voice messages and notes to you and list goes on. The sound quality was phenomenal even on a headset. The great thing about this smart phone is the price. Even at regular price, this was a cheap Nokia E62 PDA smart phone. However, if you went to Cingular and signed a service contract, you could probably get a better deal and a discounted Nokia E62 PDA smart phone. Now that is in a class all by itself!
